Movie Mondays help fundraisers improve their moves

I just discovered an amazing resource that development officers everywhere — and most especially those in small to mid-size fundraising shops — are going to love. It’s called Movie Mondays and here’s how it works. (Please don’t tell me I’m the last kid on my block to hear about this. I’ll be crushed.)

Christopher Davenport, the guy behind Movie Mondays, has interviewed and filmed over 70 fundraising professionals (e.g. development directors, executive directors, board members, donors) — people with real world experiences and knowledge. And he’s in process of filming more such folks — likely even as you read this post. Chris is part of something called 501 Videos.

Chris turns the interviews into short videos (3-5 minutes) where your colleagues talk about how they overcome particular problems. For example, I just watched as two executive directors shared tips for turning board members  into fundraisers. Then on Monday morning, he sends his subscribers an email that includes a link to the short video.

Here’s the punch line. A subscription to Movie Mondays is absolutely free.  There’s a premium version if you want a few more bells and whistles. However, for nothing, the kind folks at 501 Videos give you a lot.

That’s what I call generous.
