First-ever annual membership drive for Generous Matters

Four years into this blogging thing, it’s become painfully obvious that my “if I write, they will read” strategy isn’t working so well. Subscriptions to Generous Matters have stalled at just above 200, despite assurances from regular readers that there’s good stuff here.

The time has come for a more direct approach to building up the subscription list.  Specially, a first-ever annual Generous Matters membership drive.

If you’re not yet a subscriber, you can become one today by typing your email address in the box in the right hand sidebar. Then click the “Sign me up” button. It’s as easy as that.

If you’re already a subscriber, you can help in spreading the word about Generous Matters by doing one or more of the following:

  • Tell a colleague about Generous Matters.
  • Share a Generous Matters post via Facebook or Twitter.
  • Encourage members of your board to subscribe to Generous Matters.
  • Encourage members of your development team to subscribe to Generous Matters.
  • Use articles from Generous Matters in board education sessions or staff training.
  • If you have a blog or website, consider linking to content from Generous Matters.
  • Add Generous Matters to your blogroll.
  • Invite me to be a guest contributor to your blog.
  • Send suggestions of topics you’d like to see addressed at Generous Matters.

Most important, please continue to read (and occasionally comment). You are why I write.

Thank you.

  1. I do the e-mail stuff, have shared your material with several boards, and always welcome Generous Matters when it comes up. Yours is very helpful material. Do keep it up. Previously signed up,
    Burt
