“Paul, in his letter to the Hebrews, encourages our pursuit of God’s abundance and justice. He notes five ways we can seek reconciliation and transformation: Draw near to God. Hold fast to hope. Provoke one another to love and good deeds. Meet together. Encourage one another.
As we bow before the cross of Jesus of Nazareth, we confess our greed. Let’s name evil when we see it, including in our own lives. And let’s seek God’s abundance, knowing that as we turn away from evil, we will see God’s love in new and perhaps surprising ways.”
